I was asleep last night then somebody told me that I am one of the finalist of the upcoming Animahenasyon 2009 and you know me sometimes I’m not just believe it because some of my friends somehow jokes me but actually they didn’t.

I look though my email to check if I am one of the finalist and here is the email I’ve received.

A friendship story

One day when I was a freshman in high school, I saw the new kid in my class walking home from school His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, “Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd.” I had quite a weekend planned with parties and a football game with my friends. So I shrugged my shoulders and walked on.

Just then a bunch of kids ran toward him, knocking the books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. As he looked up, I saw a terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out to him. I jogged over to him, picked up the glasses and handed them to him.

“Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives,” I commented.

He looked at me and said, “Hey, thanks!” There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.

I helped him pick up his books and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me. As we walked home, I discovered he was a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he would like to play football with me and my friends on Saturday. He said, “Yes.” We hung out together all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him. My friends liked him too.

On Monday morning, I saw Kyle carrying his huge stack of books again. I stopped him and said, “Dang, boy you are gonna really build some serious muscle carrying this pile of books everyday!” He laughed and handed me half the books.

Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends. By our senior year, Kyle had filled out and looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. All the girls loved him, and he always had lots of dates. He had studied hard and was valedictorian of our class.

On graduation day, he was to give a speech. I could see that he was nervous. So I smacked him on the back and said, “Hey, big guy, you’ll be great!” He looked at me with one of those really grateful looks and smiled, ‘Thanks.”

He started his speech, “Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years: your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach, but mostly your friends. I am here to tell you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give.”

Then he began to tell the story of the first day we met. I stared at him in disbelief when he told how he had planned to kill himself that weekend. He had cleaned out his locker so his mom wouldn’t have to do it later. I heard a gasp go through the crowd as this handsome and popular boy told about his weakest moment.

He looked hard at me, gave me a little smile, and said, “Thankfully, my friend saved me from doing the unspeakable.”

His mom and dad looked at me with a grateful nod. Not until that moment did I realize that in one small gesture I changed a person’s life. Now I never underestimate the power of my actions. I learned that the support of a caring friend can impact someone in ways we may not fully understand and appreciate.

My 2009 Demo Reel

This is my 2nd Demo Reel. I made my 1st Demo Reel last year for the entry of ANIMAHENASYON 2008 and also for my portfolio.

What is Demo Reel by the way?

Well, a demo reel or show reel, is the motion picture or video equivalent of an artist's portfolio. It is typically used as a tool to promote the artist's skill, talent, and experience in a selected field, such as acting, directing, cinematography, editing, special effects, animation, or video games and other graphics. The demo reel is frequently submitted with a résumé to a prospective employer. When a reel contains scenes from actual productions, a shot list or credit list may also be submitted to describe the artist's specific involvement in each portion of the reel. This year, I made a couple of videos and digital arts that I want to collect and enter for the next ANIMAHENASYON 2009. This video showcases my motion graphics highlights, My Digital Arts with some of my T-Shirt design I made and also Special Effects featuring Animation of Fireball (2 years ago), Revenge (last year) and Mistake Fireball (last month). I want to thank my schoolmate for helping out of doing the Animation of Fireball video

The software I've used are Adobe After Effects versions 7, CS3 and CS4 and Adobe Photoshop versions CS2, CS3 and CS4.

The ANIMAHENASYON 2009 will be held on November 25-28, 2009 at Gateway Mall Araneta Center. I hope I'll win this competition!

Got my new iPhone.

Actually, I got my iPhone last July. Hehehe. Anyway this is the 1st Generation iPhone.

My brother gave it to me for a birthday present I think. hehehe.

Anyway, I’m happy that I have it finally after several months of waiting… hehehe

I enjoy it and I’m glad! Really!

Windows 7 Build 7600

Finally, Windows 7 has reached its final journey. Windows 7 has RTM (Release to Manufacture) on July 22, 2009 at 6:35PM. It’s build number is 7600.16399.win7_gdr.090722-1835.

Windows 7 is scheduled to release for Consumers and Enthusiasts on October 22, 2009 but for Microsoft Certified and Gold Certified Partners, it was released on August 16, 2009 followed by Microsoft Action Pack subscribers on August 23. Microsoft has also announced that companies which have a volume license contract with Software Assurance may acquire Windows 7 on September 1, 2009.

I recommend to all users to buy this OS because finally Microsoft made a great OS :)

Change

Trying to change myself is hard but I learn what my council taught me and also my parents. She’s right, they are my parents and I must obey them but sometimes we need sometimes to have freewill. What I mean is to decide your own way. The only you need is to give them your freedom is to be responsible and have brave yourself that you can do it. You are free but sometimes freedom has also some limitations which you will be guided but you mustn’t think that my friends are my enemies.

My parents are right. The reason why they are doing this is because you’re not responsible and they just want to protect you especially you’re the youngest one. I was blessed because I was proved the things I need, I went to outside the Philippines and other good deeds. They’re just my parents and they’re trying their best to be a good parent and they are. J

I learn also that it’s good to help our friends but there are some limitations. What I mean is we can guide them but let them solve their own just like what I did right now with my friends. I guide them but they will solve their own.

What I did right now to my best friend is just leave her alone. She has problems, she has something that she want to solve by her own, and she will need space not just I’ve done something wrong but to lessen and she needs solve other problems that are important than this. This is just a minimal problem. I know at the end she will forgive me but in time and I’ll wait for that. I am also too needs a space to solve my own problems that are important like my schoolwork and my family. She is still there as my best friend whatever happens.

I’ll leave her alone because she is a woman now not a girl I known before. I'm doing this because not just to give her space but also respect and learn by her own but if she needs help… I’m also there to help her to guide what is right and wrong. I’m just a person who committed a mistake and I’m just his best friend or kuya who’s just guide her because he loves her as my bff…:D

“I should be happy”

Earlier this morning, I went to Abong-abong to reflect myself of what I’ve done to my best friend, to my friends especially to my family. I regret of what I’ve done because this isn’t me anymore. I’m different now… My best friend is right… She’s just telling herself the truth and she tried herself to be a good friend…

I got out of my nerves that time because I went wild when somebody needs something and doesn’t reply you for 10 times, you’ll get mad… That’s when our friendship stated to get blur…

When I went there I realize something… Obviously, the place has change since I my last visit 5 years ago. 5 years ago, my friends before aren’t the friends you used to hang out. They’re different and they aren’t my friends, they’re using me for any purpose. They want me to change me to good to bad and they did, I went mean, I sometimes get into trouble and almost lost myself until 1 day, I realized that I wasn’t myself anymore… So I tried to change it… but it’s hard… I have no place to go but to my parents… but it wasn’t good enough… So I went to Abong-abong to reflect myself and ask “Puwede ba yo kambya?” (Can I be change?). Back then, I was wishing for something but it’s not a thing, it’s someone who can be trust on, always on by my side and share my innermost secrets. Then, I realized I was wishing for a best friend… This is silly because I was holding a 1 peso coin that time and I threw it for that wish and I ask myself in a few moments “Loko ba yo? Hahaha (laughing) Tan wish yo kay chene yo best friend… (Laugh out Loud) Byen loko gat yo hente. hahaha” and suddenly I was crying without a reason… I never told this story to someone, not even my siblings, my parents, even my best friend because if I told them, I know what is there reaction “Loko ya ka Tennyl?”

After 5 years, I went back to the same place where I was reflect myself. I ask the same question again “Ya kambya ya yo pero… ya keda gat yo malo” I was knew that I won’t be change until I close my eyes and cry… cry until I talk to myself… “Ara, ya pwede ya yo sabe kosa di miyo pakamali di miyo pero di pisil gat keda bweno… Ta pikura yo kambya pero egual lang sempre… Miyo Tata pati Nana rabyaw sila kumigo kay byen rabyoso yo pirmi. Si Hedda rabyaw kumigo kay mga kosa di miyo ablada kunele kay ele el hinde ta keda bweno best friend… Bensaba yo sila el mali… pero iyo gane el mali… iyo el chene kulpa hinde sila… Maskin chene hinde bweno nagkaraan di miyo mga erpats pero hinde yo dapat rabya kel kay kabaw ya kel… Si kosa sila palta kumigo, hinde yo dapat man blame kundi iyo dapat kay iyo el palta kunila… Kun Hedda dapat hinde yo man blame kunele kay maskin kosa le ase, hente lang le syempre… Iyo el mali, kay hinde yo ya keda bweno amigo pati ermano di su yu… Iyo el palta aki… Si kosa el di miyo mali Hedz, patawad… Tan sisi ya yo el mga di miyo… sana man patawad ya tu kumigo pati dale tu kumigo last chance…”

I kept crying until I pray… “Lord, pasyensa ya… byen malo gat yo… hinde gat yo bweno hente… salamat kay ya dele tu kumigo best friend pero…dibolbe yo kuntigo el di miyo wish na chene yo best friend kay hinde yo karapad dapat… hinde yo y keda bweno amigo…”. My eyes kept close until I dream something… I’m still in the same place but totally different until I heard a voice… “Tennyl…” I was wondering who was that and he kept talking to me… “Tennyl, el mga kulpa di tu ay hinde dapat na keda tu malo… Tali ye el di tu yu mga kulpa pero hinde tu se ase keda ali na di tu yu corason. Tan sisi ya tu kosa el mga kulpa pero hinde pa se ya kaba Tennyl, puwede pa tu man pidi pasyensya pero nesisita tu kambya pati spera. Destiny will tell you when will it be.” I was crying of what he had said and he continues about me and my best friend… “Tennyl, si Hedda rabyaw pati hinde le kuntigo ta ase kaso kay hinde lang tu yan diskusya el di su yu personalidad pati ya ase tu duwele el di su yu corason. El di su yu corason ara byen fuego le kuntigo pero adrento pa del di su yu ko corason, chene pa le amor kuntigo kay etu el di su yu best friend. Rabyaw le apwera pero adrento byen triste le kay porke tu ya keda ancina kunele. You apologized of what you have done to her and you ask her forgiveness but she didn’t give you, porke? Hinde lang pasenysa le kere, pati di tu yu kustumbre ase kambya. Alya le puwede dale el di tu yu forgiveness…” I realized of what he had said but something bothers me… is this true or just a dream… I ask him “Chene ba yo chance na kambya pati alegre?” He answer only in a few words “It is in you Tennyl. Choose the right path and there you will be realized” I kept asking… “Is this God who is talking to me?” Then in a few moment, I open my eyes and I realized of what he said that I should be change. Even thought its hard, at least I tried to change what was wrong but I can change in the future.

I felt happy all of a sudden. Maybe I was realized that why should I’ll be lonely while I’ll should be happy. Why should I’ll be frustrated while I’ll should calm down. Why should I’ll be angry while I’ll should be understand and calm myself. Why should I’ll be hurt while I’ll should be proud for them.

I know it’s hard to ask her forgiveness but I’ll wait and change what I was wrong. Even thought you’re ignoring me, I’ll stop always to saying “Hello, Ketal?, Hi, Have a nice day, or even BFF” to you best friend because you’re still my best friend what ever happens and I will always care for you. That’s my promise. :D

Believe your life is special

Sometimes life can’t give you everything, well aside that you are in the place in the middle of nowhere but somehow I felt unpleasant in every movements I’ve. Not I am suffer illness or abnormality but the people around me.

I myself like to be social on others but sometimes social can’t give you all the joy and happiness. On the side of that, life is social. I bother myself why people aren’t the way it was? I mean why can’t people just be themselves one in a while because people are acting that they are special to other people instead of believing themselves as special.

That’s what people now a days are not a just playing themselves as a toy instead acting like themselves. Why can’t just act themselves they what? Just because their lives are not very popular doesn’t mean that they’re not special. Just what in the movie Kung Fu Panda, the secret ingredient to have the power is nothing because it’s all you.You have to believe it’s there special on it.

Francis M.: The King of Rap

Last Friday, March 6, 2009 was the saddest day of the whole showbiz industry and to the country. Francis Magalona passed away at 12:00NN. It's hard to believe that but it's true. Francis was suffered an acute myelogenous leukemia. It's a marked by an abnormal increase in the number of myeloblasts especially in bone marrowand blood, that is characterized by symptoms similar to those of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and that may occur either in childhood or adulthood (dictionary.com).

Francis M. was a true legend of the music industry. He brought his proud to us as Filipino. He's not just a rapper, he's also a photographer, a producer of a music video, an archived businessman for the shirt design, a true friend to the industry and people around him and also a true father to his family.

We will miss you but your music will still be legend.

Install Windows Vista/Windows 7 from a USB Thumb drive (USB Stick)

As technology grows, PC especially new computers are becoming more high end and portable. Operating Systems now a days are growing and making it more better and easier. Some computer can’t handle the process because of the lack needs of the requirements. New computers like Netbooks are the simplest way to carry light and portable especially when you are travelling. That’s good but when you want to change your OS on it, you can’t because you need to have a USB DVD drive to do that and USB DVD drives are expensive.

But there is another way of installing an OS to your Netbooks, your Notebook, even on your PC in just a thumb away. That’s right, thanks to Noxtek from his YouTube who gave this magical way. It’s portable and no need a DVD and DVD driver to do that. You can use your USB Thumb drive (Flash Drive) as your OS installer! How? Here’s what you need to do.

Things that you need:

PC (of course)
At least 4GB of USB thumb drive.
Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7 DVD Installer. Windows XP will not work.
A PC running Windows Vista or above for the installation copy.

Caution: Make sure that you follow the instructions carefully. You must be a bit professional on this. If something happen to your system, well it’s not my fault. Take your at on own risk.

Instructions:

Insert your USB thumb drive to a PC running Windows Vista or above. It won't work on Windows XP.
After it's finished. Go to Start. Then on the search box, type “cmd” to bring up the command prompt (to be secure, run it as administration).
Then on the command prompt, type “diskpart” to bring up the Microsoft DiskPart Partition Tool.
When it’s prompt, type “list disk” to bring up the list of the disk drive.
Select the disk number that your USB thumb drive is located by typing “select disk (the number where your UBS thumb drive is located)”. Example, your USB drive is located on Drive 2. Type “select disk 2”.
After the drive has select, type “clean” to clean up your thumb drive. (Make sure you don’t have important files on your thumb drive).
Now, create a primary partition by typing “create partition primary”.
After it’s done, select the partition by typing “select partition 1”. This will select the primary partition that you’ve created.
Then, type “active” to make the partition active.
After doing that, format the partition drive in FAT32 by typing “format fs=fat32 quick”.
After it’s complete, exit the diskpart by tying “exit” but don’t exit the command prompt.
Next is insert your Windows Vista or Windows 7 DVD installer on to your DVD Drive.
Go back to your command prompt. type “xcopy (the source drive which is your DVD):\*.* /s /e /f (the target drive which is your thumb drive) :\”. Example: Your DVD drive is located at Drive D. Then your USB thumb drive is on Drive E. So what you going to type is “xcopy d:\*.* /s /e /f e:\”.

Further explanation: The xcopy is a method to copy files. The “d:\*.*” is to copy all types of files and extensions on the DVD drive. The “/s /e /f” is to copy all system files, hidden files and folders on the DVD drive. The “e:\” is the target location of the Thumb drive.
It will take a few minutes to copy all the Windows Vista/7 installation files on to your thumb drive. Be patient.
After it’s complete. You can now exit the command prompt and you have yourself a Windows Vista/7 USB thumb drive installer.

The next step is on how to boot Windows Vista or Windows 7 install from a thumb. There are 2 ways actually. The first way is we need to go to the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) setup. Here’s what you need to do.

Reboot your PC
Once your system starts up, press Delete to go to the BIOS setup (in some PC and Laptop, F2 is the key. It depends the brand of the motherboard and the manufacturer)
On your BIOS setup, find the boot section then go to the Hard Drive. Select your thumb drive and make it as primary. Then Save and Exit the program. (In other BIOS, they have different setup. If you can’t find the boot section, please refer to your User’s Manual of the machine).
Once you exit, the system will boot from your thumb drive.

The other way is:

Reboot your PC
Once your system starts up, press F8 as long as you can until it pops-up the boot menu (In some machines, F12 or Escape depending on the brand of the machine)
Select the thumb drive on the Hard Disk section (sometimes, it’s on the main menu depending on the brand of the machine).
Once you select, hit enter and it will boot your thumb drive.

And that’s it. You can now install Windows Vista or Windows 7 from your thumb drive.

Features in Windwos 7: The Taskbar (2nd Part)

Another thing I like the new taskbar in Windows 7 is the new enhanced notification area.

The Notification Area of Windows 7.

It still the same notification area like we see on the past versions of Windows but the main difference is Notification can now be control and hide them easily by just dragging up the icon that you want to hide and if you want to visible in the taskbar, just drag it down.

This figure shows that if you drag the icon up, the icon that you’ve drag is now on the hidden icons tray.

The Action Center is a new security feature in Windows 7. The Action Center is the successor of Windows Security Center (it was first introduced in Windows XP SP2). The Action Center has the same features in Windows Security Center but a lot of enhancement. Action Center can report any errors of your computer, reminders you of update of the software especially Anti-virus program, Maintenance reviews and Troubleshooting advices.

The Action Center notification. It reviews you current computer status. As you can see I don’t have problems. So which means that my computer is safe and up-to-date.

In previous version of Windows, the Show Desktop icon was integrated on the Quick Launch. Now on Windows 7, the Show Desktop is now at the end next to the clock and date and it’s now a button. It has the same functionality but the more interesting part is when you hover your mouse over the Show Desktop button, you can see the Windows are turned into glass and you can see the preview of the Desktop just like the switcher I shown you on the 1st part.

The Show Desktop demonstration. As you can see when I hover (not click) the mouse over the button, it turns the window into class except Yahoo! Messenger. It doesn’t have the Aero Glass integration so it doesn’t turn into glass, it just disappears itself.

So that is the taskbar feature on Windows 7. On my next blog, I will show to you the new enhancement Windows Explorer and the new Desktop Themes.

My reaction on the new taskbar

It’s great and well organized. It really enhance my workflow and it keeps things organized. The preview pane of the application is great. I don’t have to switch it, I’m just going to preview it. It’s awsome, fast, and simple enhance the user. When I saw the new taskbar for the first time, I was impress of the changes and yes at first it was hard. But when you get to use of it, it won’t be hard. It’s more easier than ever. I love it. I’m giving it a 5 star! Good Job Microsoft.

Features in Windows 7: The Taskbar

Since Windows 95 introduced, a friend of my brother told me that it was amazing because of the Taskbar. It’s easily to access programs and easily to notify anything (I think he refers to the Notification area with the clock).

I love the taskbar since when I was used it for the first time in 1999 (which is Windows 98 back then) but when the other version of Windows came out like Windows XP, Windows Vista, I didn’t see some improvement except maybe the features in the Notification area has change a bit but I still don’t see it. Until Windows 7 beta came out and featured a new taskbar. It’s still the same taskbar but a whole enhancement.

Now, the you can pin your favorite application into the taskbar just like Quick Launch but it can also be a taskbar button when you run it.

Application can be pin on the taskbar and can be also a taskbar button when the application is running.

If you have multiple the same application, it will not create a new button on the taskbar but it will give a button within the application button itself. Example if you’re running Windows Explorer. Then you open another Windows Explorer, you will see a bar on the right side of the button. That means that the button has 2 or more applications running.

The fun part here on this button is if you want to switch window, your thumbnail preview (the preview pane when you hover the button) becomes a button or the switcher

and the amazing part of this is if you just want to see the preview of the window with actually open it. Just hover your mouse over the thumbnail and all the other windows of the desktop will turn into glass and the only window that you peeking at is the only window appear. This feature is called “Aero Peek”.

Another feature on Windows 7 is Jump List. Jump List are the menu options that contains Recent Files of the applications and ability to close multiple application on the same button by right-clicking it. Example if you have Microsoft Office Word pinned on your taskbar, you can access your recent files that you’ve open. You can also pinned your recent files. In Windows Live Messenger has a different menu option. You can change your status, you can sign-in without actually open the application. It’s easier than ever.

Jump List can access your recent open files and can be also pinned.

I love the new taskbar, it’s so simple, tightly, and user friendly. I can believe that this would happen on Windows 7. I was expecting this since Windows Vista but only the Aero Experience has been enhance turning the taskbar into glass type. I’m looking forward for the next version of Windows.

Features on Windows 7: Desktop Background enhancement

Desktop wallpapers has been since Windows 95 and it was great. I can personalized my computer with a little enhancement of the wallpaper but somehow I got bored because there only static and not doing anything much. In Windows Vista Ultimate, they introduced Windows DreamScene. It’s great because you can used video as a Desktop wallpaper. I like this feature, it’s great but somehow I rather like pictures than videos because sometimes they’re pixilated, sometimes it gets your video performance slow and it irritates to the eyes.

This has change in Windows 7. They enhance the Desktop Background feature. Now I can make my pictures slideshow in order or even shuffle every minute, hour or even a day!

Plurk

I’ve been using Plurk for several months now but you might ask me what is Plurk. Plurk is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to send updates (otherwise known as plurks) through short messages or links, which can be up to 140 text characters in length (Wikipedia.org). Plurk was lunched on May 12, 2008. So it’s new but not quite.

Plurk is fun actually but sometimes, I got bored when nobody is plurking. Plurk is similar to Twitter which is also popular (founded in the year 2006). I haven’t tried Twitter yet but I’m going to start using it next week and see which is better but for now, I’m staying with Plurk

Last year, I was search for music then I heard Lady GaGa’s Music which is entitled “Just Dance”. I was curious about her because she was new and I never heard her much. Then I try hear her music. I was impress and I felt excited and happy. Then, I got GaGa over Lady GaGa this day because her music is awsome and she’s sexy (hehehe).

I love her music so much until I download her latest music video namely “Just Dance” and “Poker Face”. I love it and some people criticize over her look and her style in the music video because it’s over sexuality thing but I have to say it’s nothing. Yes, there are some parts that are negative and sexualty but if you’re mature enough, it wont be a problem.

Anyway, I like her songs and I’m geting GaGa over her. Not Inlove but GaGa. Hahaha

Windows 7 beats Windows XP and Vista

For 1 month, I’ve been using Windows 7 the next major Operating System. It’s a great OS, It has great enhancement for easy and simple use. It has the same features of Windows Vista except some programs have remove like Windows Movie Maker, Windows Photo Gallery, Windows Calender, and Windows Mail. Although this software where remove but they will replace with Windows Live Essentials software namely Windows Live Movie Maker, Windows Live Mail integrated with Windows Live Calendar, and Windows Live Photo Gallery.

This OS has it all but are you curious about performance. You might say that “It’s still Vista, so it’s going to be slower” but it isn’t. It’s faster and better than Windows Vista and also faster in Windows XP.

A test has been performed by Zdnet.com. And indeed it beasts Windows XP and Vista in several areas including Boot and Shutting down speed, Loading Application and Working with files or programs.

Tested in the following desktop machine:

An AMD Phenom 9700 2.4GHz system fitted with an ATI Radeon 3850 and 4GB of RAM
An Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 2.2GHz fitted with an NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS and 1GB of RAM

Here is the performance test result.

Overall that Windows 7 beats Windows Vista and XP.

Finally I got to chance to test Microsoft’s new operating system, Windows 7. Windows 7 is built-in Windows NT (New Technology) 6.1 and it’s a successor of Windows Vista which is Windows NT 6.0. Currently, Windows 7 is still under development, it’s in a build number 7000 and the 1st Beta version will be scheduled on January 2009.

I’m now using Windows 7 on my laptop and on my PC and I must say the Performance is more faster and more improving, the visual interface has made more easier than Windows Vista. And all Windows Vista software and hardware are now Windows 7 compatible ready! I can’t wait for the RTM (Release to Manufacture, the final version of the product) version!

Twister

Sometimes my wife would be easier to me if there is easy access, easy to workout with your workspace, and easy to sit back and have nothing to worry about.

I was thinking of a gimmick that can enhance a different kinds of software in one package. I was also thinking that can a single software run in a portable drive like USB Flash Drives, PDA, Cellphones, or PSP. They I come to realize that there is a way that all things can pack in one software or Portable Operating System build in Flash.

That’s why I’m already develop a program that can be taken anywhere.

I develop a software called Twister. Twister is a portable software that has the same features in Microsoft Windows® but a slight different.

This product is build in Flash and Actionscript source code. Currently, I’m still develop this product and it’s already in Build 61 Milestone 2. Hopefully, I will release it in Beta by 2009.

I’ve been using friendster since 2004. I have great experience using this website. It gives social through out the world. Friendster is my friend, my buddy, my bestfriend. It always there when I want to know the people around the world. And also Friendster is also you date finder, You just see his/her profile, send some private messages and started to get a long and the next of that you’re already dating. hehehe. It’s fun hearing that story.

I never knew Friendster would be amazing of find the identity of the person. Well some investigation team looks for clues in Friendster.. Hehehe… But true. Friendster also be your own website about yourself, how is your life doing, and what is your status. :D

Friendster is amazing but until this day. I can’t believe they can do this for me. My friends from 300+ became only 4 friends!! What the heck happen? Is the sever of FS infested with a virus? It this a joke or they really mean it? Oh my, I’ve using this for almost 5 years now and this would happen? How pity I am using this website. How to update your Custom Firmware in your PSP

Hello, in this blog you will learn how to update your custom firmware in your PSP.

Custom Firmware (also know as “Open Edition) is a special program that can run unsigned code such as homebrew applications and UMD backups.

First, download the Custom M33 Firmware on to this site. http://www.dark-alex.org/

Next, download the Official Firmware on to this site. http://pspslimhacks.com/psp-firmware/official-firmware-updates/

If you’re download the latest CF (Custom M33 Firmware), then your OF (Official Firmware) must have the same version. Example, the latest CF is 5.00 M33-3, then OF must also be 5.00.

Put them in the same folder so that you won’t be confused.

Then, rename the EBOOT.PBP to the version that you want to update. Example, 5.00 is your latest version then rename your EBOOT.PBP to 500.PBP.

Next, Extract the Custom Firmware. After this, connect your PSP into your computer via USB.

Then open it. If the AutoPlay didn’t pop-up. Go to Computer (My Computer in Windows XP), then to your PSP Memory Stick.

After it’s open, Go back to your Custom Firmware then copy the UPDATE folder to /PSP/GAME/.

Then, copy the 500.PBP in to same folder.

Then go to your PSP. Go to Game > Memory Stick > “PSP Update ver X.XX” (X.XX, the firmware version). Then run it.

Follow the instructions (Note. Your battery life must have at least 78% to update your firmware). And there you go! Your PSP is up to date!

Windows Vista 101: How to improve performance using Windows ReadyBoost

I’ve been using Windows Vista for about 3 months now and Indeed it’s better than Windows XP. But sometimes Windows Vista slows down my PC but I didn’t crash just what the others said that isn’t true.

For many generations now, Windows operating system has develop an instance of series to increase performance and to conform the PC experience. But in the other hand, the newer version of Windows, the more system requirement needs especially the RAM.

Adding system memory (typically referred to as RAM) is often the best way to improve a PC's performance, since more memory means more applications are ready to run without accessing the hard drive. However, upgrading memory can be difficult and costly, and some machines have limited memory expansion capabilities, making it impossible to add RAM.

Now, Microsoft introduced a new feature in Windows Vista called Windows ReadyBoost.

What is Windows ReadyBoost?

Windows ReadyBoost is a new concept in adding memory to a system. You can use non-volatile flash memory, such as that on a universal serial bus (USB) flash drive, to improve performance without having to add additional memory "under the hood."

The flash memory device serves as an additional memory cache—that is, memory that the computer can access much more quickly than it can access data on the hard drive. Windows ReadyBoost relies on the intelligent memory management of Windows SuperFetch and can significantly improve system responsiveness.

How to use Windows ReadyBoost?

It's easy to use Windows ReadyBoost. When a removable memory device such as a USB flash drive or a secure digital (SD) memory card is first inserted into a port,

Windows Vista checks to see if its performance is fast enough to work with Windows ReadyBoost. If so, you are asked if you want to use this device to speed up system performance.

You can choose to allocate part of a USB drive's memory to speed up performance and use the remainder to store files.

What is Cast and Crew?

You know what is the best important in a production, the cast and crew. Without them, then we don't have any entertainment or a production. In this blog, I will discuss about the importance of having cast and crews in a production. In my previous blog I have said about the concept of the production and the meaning.

Let's begin with Cast. How important it is of having a production with cast members. They are the ones who are entertain people on TV, on stage, or anywhere. What is the meaning of it? Well in the dictionary I found, specifically in Encarta Dictionary. The cast are the select participants for performance: to choose somebody for a particular role in a drama, dance, or other performance, or choose people for all the roles in a production. What are their roles? That is an easy question (NOT!). Actually, the role of the cast are the ones who participate of a certain roles like in drama, host, dance, or other performance. I'm not repeating what the dictionary said.
The cast are the actors who perform in the motion picture. A cast member is someone who performs in a motion picture. (Wikipedia.org) I'm keeping source all the time to prevent mistakes.

Now the Crew. Crew have 2 different meaning. One is, Stage crew. A stage crew or stagehand is a person who works backstage or behind the scenes in theatres, film, television, or location performance. Their duties include setting up the scenery, lights, sound, props, rigging, and special effects for a production. And the other one is, Film Crew. I think this is the most reliable meaning since we focus on production. A film crew is a group of people hired by a film company for the purpose of producing a film or motion picture. Crew are distinguished from cast, the actors who appear in front of the camera or provide voices for characters in the film. Crew are also separate from producers, those who own a portion of either the film company or the film's intellectual property rights. A film crew is divided into different departments, each of which specializes in a specific aspect of the production. (Wikipedia.org)

In casting and crewing, there are lot of "jobs"... Ok I'll make it clearer. There are lot of different roles. I found this article in Wikipedia. Lets start of with the production crew in filmmaking.
We have:

* A film producer, who creates the conditions for making movies.
* A production manager, who supervises the physical aspects of the production (not the creative aspects) including personnel, technology, budget, and scheduling.
* A unit manager, who fulfills the same role as the production manager but for secondary "unit" shooting. In some functional structures, the unit manager subsumes the role of the Transport Coordinator.
* A Production Coordinator, who is the information nexus of the production, responsible for organizing all the logistics from hiring crew, renting equipment, and booking talent. The PC is an integral part of film production.
* A Post-production supervisor.
* A director, who is responsible for overseeing the creative aspects of a film, including controlling the content and flow of the film's plot, directing the performances of actors, organizing and selecting the locations in which the film will be shot, and managing technical details such as the positioning of cameras, the use of lighting, and the timing and content of the film's soundtrack.
* A first assistant director (1st AD), who assists the production manager and director.
* A second assistant director (2nd AD), who is the chief assistant of the 1st AD and helps carry out those tasks delegated to the 1st AD.
* A production assistant, who assists the first assistant director with set operations. Production assistants, almost always referred to as PAs, also assist in the production office with general tasks.
* A Script Supervisor, who is also known as the "continuity person", the script supervisor keeps track of what parts of the script have been filmed and makes notes of any deviations between what was actually filmed and what appeared in the script.
* A production accountant, who assists the production manager and line producer in keeping track of the film's budget. The production accountant, together with his or her various assistants, are often considered to be a separate department.
* A location manager, who researches, locates, secures and coordinates the filming locations. He/she creates a location breakdown, identifying the precise locations needed and works hand-in-hand with the director and the production designer.
* A publicist, who handles the publicity of a film. He promotes the film by issuing press releases and overseeing advertisements.
* And a Casting Director.

Now lets go to the Art Department. Have you watch StarWars, or a music video like Clumsy by Fergie? Do you who made it? No? Well, the answer are the Art Department. The Art Department in a major feature film can often number hundreds of people. Usually it is considered to include several sub-departments: the art department proper, with its art director, set designers and draughtsmen; sets, under the set decorator; props, under the propsmaster; construction, headed by the construction coordinator; scenic, headed by the key scenic artist; and special effects.
So we have:

* A production designer, who is responsible for creating the physical, visual appearance of the film - settings, costumes, properties, character makeup, all taken as a unit. The production designer works closely with the director and the cinematographer to achieve the 'look' of the film.
* A art director, who reports to the production designer, and more directly oversees artists and craftspeople, such as the set designer and set decorator, who carry out the production design.
* A set designer, who is the draftsman, often an architect, who realizes the structures or interior spaces called for by the production designer.
* An Assistant Art Director, who carry out the instructions of the art director.
* A set decorator, who is in charge of the decorating of a film set, which includes the furnishings and all the other objects that will be seen in the film.
* A buyer is the number two person in the set department below the set decorator.
* A lead man, who is the foreman of the sets crew, often referred to as the “swing gang.”
* A set dressers apply and remove the "dressing," i.e., furniture, drapery, carpets—everything one would find in a location, even doorknobs and wall sockets.
* A property master, more commonly known as the props master, is in charge of finding and managing all the props that appear in the film.
* A props builder, as the name implies, builds the props that are used for the film. Props builders are often technicians skilled in construction, plastics casting, machining, and electronics.
* A armourer, who is a specialized props technician who deals with firearms. In most jurisdictions this requires specials training and licenses.
* A construction coordinator who oversees the construction of all the sets.
* A head carpenter, who is the foreman of a "gang" of carpenters and laborers.
* A key scenic artist, who is responsible for the surface treatments of the sets.
* And a greensman, who is a specialised set dresser dealing with the artistic arrangement or landscape design of plant material, sometimes real and sometimes artificial.

I'm going to ignore the wardrobe and hair and make-up, so lets go to the Camera.
We have:

* A DOP or director of photography, who is the chief of the camera and lighting crew of the film.
* A cinematographer, who has been a point of contention for some time now. It is usually synonymous with "director of photography," though some professionals insist that it only applies when the director of photography and camera operator are the same person.
* A camera operator, who uses the camera at the direction of the cinematographer, director of photography, or the film director to capture the scenes on film. Generally, a cinematographer or director of photography does not operate the camera, but sometimes these jobs may be combined.
* A first assistant camera (1st AC) who is responsible for keeping the camera in focus as it is shooting.
* A second assistant camera (2nd AC), who operates the clapperboard at the beginning of each take and loads the raw film stock into the camera magazines between takes, if there is no additional specifically desiginated film loader.
* A loader, who is the designated film loader.
* A Camera Production Assistant (camera intern). Usually a volunteer or trainee in the camera department, the camera PA assists the crew with menial details while learning the trade of the camera assistant, operator or cinematographer.
* A Digital Imaging Technician ("DIT"). On digital photography productions the digital imaging technician is responsible for the coordination of the internal workings of the digital camera.
* A Steadicam operator, who is someone who is skilled at operating a Steadicam rig (the genericized trademark for a camera stabilization rig).
* And A Motion Control Technician/Operator. This technician operates a motion control rig, which is essentially a 'camera robot' that is able to consistently repeat camera moves for special effects use. Motion control rigs are typically rented with an experienced operator.

And a lot more like:

* The film editor is the person who assembles the various shots into a coherent film, with the help of the director.
* The production sound mixer is head of the sound department on set, responsible for recording all sound during filming. This involves the choice and deployment of microphones, operation of a sound recording device, and sometimes the mixing of audio signals in real time.
* The visual effects supervisor is in charge of the visual effects department. Visual effects refer to post-production alterations to the film's images. They are not to be confused with special effects, which are done during production (on set).
* A compositor is a visual effects artist responsible for compositing images from different sources such as video, film, computer generated 3-D imagery, 2-D animations, matte paintings, photographs, and text.
* Sound Editor is responsible for assembling and editing all the sound effects in the soundtrack.
* The music supervisor, or "music director", works with composer, mixers and editors to create and integrate the film's music. In Hollywood, a music supervisor's primary responsibility is to act as liaison between the film production and the recording industry, negotiating the use rights for all source music used in a film.
* The composer is responsible for writing the musical score for a film.
* The sound designer, or "supervising sound editor", is in charge of the post-production sound of a movie. Sometimes this may involve great creative license, and other times it may simply mean working with the director and editor to balance the sound to their liking.
* Dialogue Editor is responsible for assembling and editing all the dialog in the soundtrack.

The Creative Blog

For how many months that I haven’t blog. This time I will make my blog as my habit. I never knew blogging could be more fun that before.

That is why I update my blog to Creative because this blog deals with the creativity of the people around me what’s to share their talents trough out the world.

And also I updated my blog template because I want it to have simple when I blog and people can easily to read it without hurting their eyes. If you see the above logo, that is the official logo of DictioDiary made it myself.

DictioDiary is not about creativity of myself but also a blog that shares the creativity of the people. DictioDiary was a former requirement for our major subject to share our creativity to the world. I am continuing blogging of my thoughts, my experience and my discoveries even its not anymore a requirement.

Goodbye IT but Passion remains

It's been a week that I have decide. It's hard but I have to face it even my fears had came true. Yes, in deed. I'm not anymore an IT student but even thought I'm not anymore an IT, I have still opportunities waiting for me after I graduate like my teacher who will open a business plus, I can my Computer Animation even I'm not anymore an IT student.

Opportunities comes when people believes your talent. Like mine, I didn't let my talent down. I kept going and going until I reach my dreams and I did! I didn't bother myself "why did I change course?". I didn't ask myself because I knew it would happen and it does.

Somebody asked me especially the lower years, "Why did I take IT?". I answered them to become an Animator, a Digital Artist, an Illustrator, an Art Designer, a Motion Graphics Designer, a Cinematographer, and a Photographer. A simple dreams comes with a simple destiny. Those dreams are my passion, a passion that what I was looking for.

But in every dream, there's a nightmare. Programming is my nightmare. It lets my passion down. I respect because it's part of the program but no matter how I tried, it's no my passion. It's not my dream, it's not my destiny. I've been taking that subject for 3 times now, lucky for my basic programming because I pass but for the advance, I don't think so. That's is why I was force to shift to another course because it's my 3rd time to took that subject.

Things has change when I shift to another course, it's different but my passion remains in my heart. I'm thankful because they still gave my passion back and I will never let my passion down even I'm already an ACoN student.

I'm a Windows Vista marker

This past few years, Windows XP is been a nice experience, well actually XP stands for EXperience. I was thinking of shift it to the next level which is to the next OS (Operating System). So I decide to shift to Windows Vista.

I don't why but a lot of people said that Vista is great, friendly and more visual effects which is true. But some criticize Windows Vista as a "down syndrome" OS. I don't why but some said that there are lot of bugs that needs to fix of, lot of program compatibility issues, and slower that XP. I never knew that this will be the result of Vista but still I shift it and update it's Service Pack and it doesn't seems to have problems except maybe some programs can't be supported on Vista but hey, I updated it and it run smoothly.

Sickness in health

Last Weekend, I was sick. I got fever and my computer broke out (great :( ). I never had a much worst fever in my whole entire life. Last Friday night, I went home around 7 in the evening and I wasn't prepare for my dinner. I never tough that I would be much hunger. I ate some snacks before I went home but I can't ever imagine that I would be much hunger and much worst.

I was prepare for my dinner and I suddenly, I faint on my bed. I felt dizzy and somehow my body felt weak. I never imagine that this would happened to me. After that happened, I woke up around 8:05 timing, my food is already prepared. I ate only few because my tummy hurts a lot. So I just rap up everything, keep my left over food for tomorrow and slept early.

That night, I felt my whole body are numb, my head hurts, and my tummy felt painful. So I tough that I was hungry but when I took a little bit of my bisketts and suddenly I trough up a lot. I was in pain a lot, all of my body are in numb and I act strange. So I call up my grandmother on the phone luckily, she woke up at 1 in the morning. I asked her for my help because I didn't felt so good, she rush over after heard my state. I was waiting her outside but my body can't handle the pain, so I sat on the chair.

That time, I was numb and act abnomal like I'm speaking to myself and suddenly I cry because I can't handle the pain and there some parts that I want to do and worst part is I haven't tell my friend about the secret at the same time I pray to the Lord that whatever happens, please forgive of what I have done. Timing, my grandmother arrives and my aunt and they gave me a medicine and some hot tea. My aunt told me that I have only a fever and they took me an advice that I should be rest for the whole weekend and I did.

The next morning, I felt better but not full recoverd. I pray and thank for everything for helping me especially my grandmother and my aunt. It's a strange story but true. I wonder what happend if my grandmother didn't arrived? I think it won't be a happy ending to me.

I was hoping that I would achived all my dreams and tell my friend the secret sooner.

Few minutes ago, I was surfing in the Google products and I've just discovered a new interactive 3D social software. It's called Lively. Lively is a web-based virtual environment produced by Google Inc.. On the opening download page, users are invited to "Create an avatar and chat with" their "friends in rooms you design."

Unlike Second Life, the Lively users cannot buy and sell products. Since there is no user-generated content on Lively, items such as hairstyles, clothing and furniture are limited to a catalog of pre-designed selections.

Try the new Google Lively. http://www.lively.com. You must have a Gmail/Google account to log in.

So far Google Lively is only available on Windows XP and Vista operating systems with the support browers Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer with Adobe Flash built-in. The Mac and Linux Operating System will be on the way as well according to Google.

First of all, it's so good to be back. I miss doing blog since last summer.

Anyway, I really great to watch this animated films. It's so inspiring especially this film I found in YouTube a minute ago.

This video is a old video short animated film made in 1993. The creator of this film used an analogic handycam also he used Modeling Clay animation. This film tells a story about facial expression or maybe a face made out of Clay... hehehe. But I really enjoy this, it's fun to watch it and the musical scoring. Very classic.

You know that I'm turning 18 this June and you know that I don't want to get older (Well, that is what people wished for). Anyway, being the new me doesn't seems to be hard. Well honestly, I felt bad... Really! I haven't done anything that I should do like having a Girlfriend at 15-17(Hahaha, but true....), Try something that teens really want like surfing, go malling, and play computer games outside the campus (what is this survey answer? hahahaha).

Well, being an uncle must have a big responsibility like baby sitting, feeding them (sometimes), and take a bath (again sometimes) just like a real Father. I'm not ready yet for this but it has to be... If you know!

Being 17, I never had this opportunity, I mean A lot opportunities like being a Computer Animator, Video Editor in ADZU and being a good friend to other... Seriously...

Anyway, life doesn't matter if you make a mistake.... Sometimes... Really....

My 1st 3D logo animation

It's my very first 3D Animation. It's not really the resemblance of the Deal or No Deal logo but it's ok for me. I made this using Swift 3D. I add some effects using Adobe After Effects. Right now, I am studing how to model 3D characters using Cinema 4D, Maya and LightWave.

Last Wednesday, April 16, 2008, The Sims had made a major milestone. A milestone that celebrates a million thanks, 100 times! The Sims franchise celebrates their 100th million sold copies around the world in 22 languages and 60 countries around the world! How did they get so far? Well, it all started 8 years ago which is February 4, 2000. The creator, Will Wrights was developed a game that simulated life that can control of their wants, their needs and their baths. This is were The Sims game started, it start of from scratch until March 2002, it reached 50 million sold copies making it as the best-selling PC game in all time.

While The Sims is ahead of other popular franchises such as the Grand Theft Auto and Halo games, it trails well behind Nintendo's Mario franchise when other gaming platforms, such as consoles and handheld players, are considered. CBS News

YouTube Hack: How to make your videos to HQ?

March 2008, YouTube launches their new video format called HQ or High Quality. This new video format offers a better video definition (480x360) in the AVC format for any video uploaded after this date.

According to the YouTube official blog, YouTube will decide which videos are capable of this improved quality based on the standard of the original upload. Users can choose "always show me higher quality when available" in their Account pages to switch automatically to the better quality.

So it's possible because YouTube will choose which video would be in HQ, but there is a solution. I found this video on YouTube, specifically at my Home page of my YouTube account shows how to make any video into a HQ.

The code is simple. Just place this "&fmt=18" to a URL of the video and BOOM! a HQ video.

The Sims 2 Big Brother Style New ID

I already made before the ID of the show but since December, I lost my copy of the file and at the same time my computer went down and a lot of my series have been deleted. So I just decided to stop produced the series to concentrated to my studies.

Since it's already summer and I have nothing to do this season, I just decided to resume the series. I just created this clip a few hours ago and I hope it would be a success for my opening series.

Based of what I saw, The Sims 3 is now more realistic than the current version which is The Sims 2. I found some pictures on the net, specifically on The Sims 3 official website and on Snooty Sims. I just can't realize that this it should be happened on the next version. So, realistic, so clear quality, and so real like. It looks like that I'm playing a game that is a movie type.

I think the System Requirement should be like this:
512MB of RAM
Pentium 4 1.5GHz Processor
5GB of Hard Disk
256MB of Video Card
etc.. but I'm not yet sure about this. This is just my prediction of what it would be looked like.

Finally the wait has finally over. The Sims 3 has already online! I can wait for the upcoming release of the game. I signed up the VIP members club of the game to be the first lucky one to be updated of the new game.

ICT Week launch

The launch of the AICG's ICT week was a big success! Last Monday, March 10, 2007 was a big day for the AICG officers and the members. First, the launching of the site which is the AICG website with a theme "Welcome to your site". Second, the launch of the 1st Digtal Art exhibit in Zamboanga which it was held at The Gallery of the Peninsula and the Archipelago in Ateneo de Zamboanga University. The exhibit opens on March 10 to 15, 2007 from 8:00am - 6:00pm. Third, the launch of the seminars like blogging, image processing, and more.

Bestfriend

My life was so perfectly, it's like a puzzle. Loving family, having good friends around and a nice income. All I had right now are fine but there is a piece missing, having a best friend in your life. To be honest, I never had a best friend. Really! But I do have friend but the ones who can consult you. My family is very blessed at me because I have this, but they didn't notice that I had a missing piece of my life which is this.

I do have childhood friend but not the kind of being supportive. I'm not demanding of best friend that is perfectly like that, but I'm asking is a best friend, not all like that but at least he/she understands.

Currently I have a lot of friends in Ateneo even outside, but I didn't find the missing piece. Maybe soon I will find that missing piece.

Broken Doorknob

Earlier at 12 noon, one of my classmate accidentally broke the doorknob of our Animation Lab. My classmate was so worried about what happened. When I asked about him what happened, he replied " Wala noh, Hindi ako yan! Ano ba?".

At that time, I was not really much a panic person, but I'm afraid to trap inside the room. At 12: 30pm earlier, we where having our class, and I suppose Sir Romeo was a bit afraid to trap inside.

Anyway, when the class was over, I was in the state of unhappiness because of her. You know... Even so, I got tired of keeping the door closed. My hands are killing me even today, it's still hurt. I you notice why am I pictured this out because I just want to show you the situation of the doorknob, not the door itself.

Yeah, It's a weird experience but funny.

Softball experience

I had a great experience of playing Softball. It was a great game last March 1. It was a beautiful day except the soil was very wet due to the heavy rain last night. We were played at 1: 00pm in the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Backfield. At that time, I was devious because I was assuming "What if we mess up, How are we going to win?" but ultimately, I realized that this is just a game.

Before I played the game, My heart kept beating so fast until I played the game. When it's my turn to play, I felt happy and excitement. Maybe it's because I was assuming of a positive thing or someone. During the game, I was in my 3rd base. I almost reached to the home base to score until my teammate is out. In the long run of the game, The score was 0 to 8. We were scored 0 while our opponent scored 8. Embarrassing but we didn't think about it, we enjoyed the game.

It was a great experience that I won't forget. Now, I don't have anymore PE. I finished all my PE courses, from PE101 to PE104. PE is part of my memories here in Ateneo. Seriously...

Life time

This is the OBB of my fictional series entitled "Life Time". I used Adobe After Effects for the background and the bar effect and for the characters, I used The Sims 2 game. Sometimes, they can't control themselves of moving. Maybe it's because I forgot to switch off the "Free Will" mode.

Since before I saw her and stated to fall in love, I never knew what love is... Really! I know is so stupid, but it doesn't mean that I don't really know about it. It's so complicated to love at this situation that she's from the other side while I'm here, lost of no where. I suppose, I'm just over concerned about her. Since this past few week, I've been looking for here everyday but not every night because I'm afraid of darkness. Joke! I'm just kidding... When you fell in love with somebody, you don't know what you're going to do.

At this situation that I had right now is so confusing, but I can't let myself down on her even there are lot of men flirting at her. I don't give up, I don't stand besides my back. I will fight until the end.

I wish that I won't be... that's all.

Why am I blogging?

For the whole year in my life, I knew blogging was so awe-inspiring. Before when I was in High School, I strongly thought that blogging was a business site or a chat site since the word " Blog" I knew was talking like "bla bla bla" or something like that. Until I reach college when my teacher (You know who you are, so I don't want to mention your name.) taught us what is blogging all about. Furthermore, at that point. I understand the word "Blog" is. At that time, I used to blog recently, but I got tired and shown not interest it. Therefore, I discontinued blogging. That's weird, in my term.

I discontinued blogging for about 4 months until my teacher suggested that I will make my blog as a habit, since I got bad taste of my grammar. Consequently, I took his suggestion and starting to blog again. I got a bit interested on blogging like showing of my personal life, telling stories, etc. until I got more interested on blogging.

Now, I produced 20 posted blogs in this site and there are also 8 posted in my other blog site. The reason why am I blogging is because of showing my interesting happenings in my life. That's the answer.

Adventures of Superspec

I assume this is the most hard working project that I experienced. This coming March, me and my partner Cedrick will release a first time interactive tutorial game called "Adventures of Superspec". Now, we are currently developing this game. I had some glitches to be clean and fix, but it's not yet released to be tested.

Anyway, I created this official logo of our game. Cedrick drew the draft of the drawing and I vector it using Adobe Photoshop. It's not yet finished because I need the decisive opinion of my partner if it is ok or not.

Organize your YouTube embed

I hate mess in my blog. I kept things in order and organized especially when it comes with video embedding like YouTube. I found the easiest way to organize videos into a single player. I try their new custom player, and it was great. I can select from a multiple player to a single player. Instead of embedding multiple videos, why just used only one to be more organized.

How can I do this? Well, it's easy.
1. You must have a YouTube account. If you have a Google account well that's fine because Gmail account works on YouTube.

2. Go to your account and click "Custom Video Players".

3. Click "Create Custom Player".

4. Follow the information and click "Generate Code". Then, a code will generate.

5. Copy the code and paste it to your blog.

And that's it, your Custom player.

Macromedia / Adobe Flash Seminar

Last Saturday, we were having a seminar about Adobe Flash. I was kind a little late at that time because I woke up late. Our speaker by the way is none other than Mr. Ryann Z. Elumba. He taught us many things about Flash especially about ActionScript.

Basically, ActionScript in Flash is a programming language like C++ and Java (which is my hate subject). I learned something new in Flash like how to get the Input text display on the Dynamic text.

I want to thank Sir Romeo for the organization of the seminar and to Sir Ryann for the time.

For the past few years, I never realized that being an IT student was the best choice in my life. Why? Because, I never knew that IT was different from other IT curriculum, more on programming and stuff like that, but it's different in Ateneo. IT was never been creative, in terms of Multimedia and Animation, which is my type of goal. Even before I almost wanted to shift to another course like BM or MasCom when I was in 1st year, but it changed when I came to summer, I taught before summer was the boring time of my life, but it wasn't, it's the best! Since then, my soul and my heart said to me "This is my type of course". Really! I'm not kidding...

Now, I am proudly to say "Whatever happens, even CS. I WILL NEVER SHIFT! I AM PROUDLY TO BE AN IT STUDENT, NOW AND FOREVER!

Abalos' Burjer!

I watched this clip on YouTube, and I laugh at out loud. It's so funny... I can't take the resist. I suppose Abalos was trying to pronounce the word "Burger" well, or did he. Instead "Burger", he said " Burjer" or " Hamburjer". LOL.

Game shows... Sounds fun

I'm a type of person that loves game shows, except some lame dirty game shows. Classic game shows are one of a kind likes Wheel of Fortune, The Price is Right and Family Feud. I like game shows that are fun, exciting and also education. I like "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" the US version, not the Philippine Version because you know for some of you. I like that show because it questions about all the Grade school subjects.

My other favorite game show is Wheel of Fortune because I love solving puzzles and Spinning the wheel for cash and prize. Think the best thing of watching this game shows, it educates and learn something. Someday, I wish that I can join any of these game shows and hope to win some money.

I'm falling inlove

For the 1st time, I'm falling inlove with someone. She's perfect of what I’ve expected. Love can't be just always like this, but I can't express it out. Sometimes when you fall inlove with someone, you can't control yourself. Apparently, I really can't control of what I fell for her. I can’t express or show my love to her because I'm a bit too shy about my feelings. Well, if I had a chance to say to her about my loving feelings, I believe it would be so nice... Maybe... I don't know I can't explain it...

Major projects

I think this is the greatest thing that happened in my life or maybe the worst thing happened in my life. For the 1st time, I will be doing 3 major projects in 3 major subjects. Wow, that's what you call a bad day or maybe the greatest day I think.
First, is in our ITMM103 class. We will be doing an organizational website for the organization that we chose. Next is in our ITMM104 class. We will be doing a tutorial game. And last is in our ITMM105. We will be doing a special effects using Adobe After Effects.

People just can't understand

During our class in ITMM105, I got offended with some people who are making themselves fool out of it. Well, I’m not angry out it. I just got offended of what they've said, like they can do better than me, making themselves fool out of it. Just because they knew already some features in After Effects, doesn’t mean that they can make fool out of me. I knew why they said that, it’s because they're just jealous.

You know what, I like people who are wishing themselves that they can do better than me but not in the way of showing of their rusty face. I hate people like that. I am not angry about that because I knew they're just jealous. There are some jokes are funny but there are some jokes are hurtful. At this point, I understand their situations, but they must also understand my situation and my personality.

They don’t have the rights to use my credibly and my integrity for their fool purpose. Anyway, if there is a group activity, I will count myself OUT. I’m not a project maker or doing their works for them.

These passed few weeks, I've been working on special effects using Adobe After Effects. I took some shots when my classmate convinced me to do some special effects, since I learn much of the software, So few days after, I've started creating special effects.

These videos that I've posted are the special effects I've used in Adobe After Effects.

1.What is Adobe After Effects?
::Adobe After Effects is a digital motion graphic and compositing software.

2.What are the plug-ins you used?
::I used some built-in plug-ins like Lightning, Orb, and etc. but there is also a plug-in that I’ve used, which is Trapcode Particular.

3. Is there additional software you used?
::Yes, there is. I used Particle Illusion. Particle Illusion is a stand-alone computer graphics application which allows users to create animated graphic bases on the particle system technique.

4.How long did you make this?
::It depends on my free time. It eventually took around 23 hours to 2 days depending on the video length.

5.Are there tutorials in After Effects?

CS sucks.... No tutorial lesson

To be honest, CS is sucks. Before when I was in first year, I love CS before because it's a long time experience. Basically, I love C++. It's true, I rather like C++ that Java. Why? Because, C++ offers a lot online tutorials rather that Java. I know Java is a world demand offer for IT Professionals but somehow it makes me difficult. I ask questions a lot of times, but I still don't get it. It's hard, there are lot of twist, buffered readers, etc. etc..... I try to understand but somehow it turns out a lot of errors. I was very frustrated until I got mad then angry... I was trying to find a tutor who knew about Java but no one knew about Java...

Haaaa. All I want is a tutor or an online tutorial about Java. And that will solve my problem. If you got discriminated with this blog. This is my reaction. No Personal, just a public reaction.

Ahh.. I don't know what I'm feeling right now. I am so embarrassed... It's on account of an emergency, that's why... It all started when I lend my USB to a girl (my friend, I know you know her.) and before I lend her my UBS Flash Drive, I copied the file on a certain computer and then, I lend her my USB. Few moments later, I shown my video output to my teacher. Then all of a sudden, I realized, I copied the wrong file. So.. I know it's so embarrassed to tell her again that I need the USB again. Furthermore, she gave me back my USB, and then she left because she has a practice. I suppose this is the lesson I've learned. Before you get destructed, check if you got the right file you've copied.

Jack and Jill

Oh men, I done it.. I'm done of editing of my videos. Somehow, It's not so bad at all. Video editing is fun but I don't have any idea of what I'm editing. But base of what I editing. The story flow is like this.

It all started with a beautiful day, Jack and Jill were going up the tree top to get some water from the well. While both of them are teasing each other. A big man just behind Jack and Jill was eating a banana, The big man almost finished his banana but he doesn't want to eat the end piece of it, it's because he was allergic on it. So he drop end piece of it and leave quietly. After Jack and Jill got the water from the well, they return back down. On the way down, Jack didn't look of where he is going because we was concentrating looking at Jill. Before he know it. He slipped from a banana peel and Jack was holding Jill for support but she also fell. So that's basically the end of the story.

We made shoot this last 2 weeks ago. Mikhail Go played as Jack and Caroline Gonzales played as Jill. Supposed to be Jaryl James Chiong will played as Jack but he didn't came for valid reason. And we have a special appearance by Vincent Paul Arnuco as Banana Boy. He also the director and at the same time, he is also the script writter or our short film, Carla Faye Covarrubias was the assistant director, and Mark Joseph Tubo and Marc Nikkolo Chew were the producers. I was the cinematographer, the music scorer and the editor (Great Job ha).

Crystalize

I was thinking of a super hero thing then I'm planning to make a short film about 7 person has 7 different powerups or super powers. The title of our short film will be "Crystalize".

It all started in ancient times. Izkazel, the lord and founder of Izakaland a place where magical powers happend. The surrounding place where made up of crystals that brighter colors can see thru a light shine. The place kept glowing and brighter because of an ultimate gem crystal called "Cystalize". The Cystalize is a powerful crystal that has 7 different elements of power in different color types and also this crystal used in the heart of Izakaland to generate more crystals and also this is the Izakaland's heart. Without this, the surroundings and the people in Izakaland will die soon.

One day, a dark lord name Jolzel, an evil lord from Merdana came to the world of crystal to get the hands of the Cystalize and use it to become a powerful lord in the universe. He invaded all the Izakaland lands and broke the main gate place, he went inside to find the heart of the Izakaland where is the Cystalize found. Before he reached to the heart of the Izakaland, he was surprise attacked with Izkazel. Both of them fought until Izkazel fell. When Jolzel reached the heart of the Izakaland, He found the Cystalized. It was glowed and floated from 20 feet up. Jolzed can't take any chances, he flew slowly up to get the Crystalize. He amazed the beauty of the crystal, then he slowly move his hands to grab crystal until he hit by a powerful fireball attack by Izakazel. Izakazel grab quickly the crystal and he made a frozen cystal ice and spread all of his crystal to frozen the whole land to keep the people and the kingdom live in a frozen ice. Izakazel flew quickly to the forest until Jolzel attacked him. Izakazel kept flew until he was hit and force to crash to a near mountain site. Izakazel fought Jolzel and... the plot ends here because I have no idea what comes next.

But we're still in the making right now. I don't know when is the approval decision of this.

Valentine's Day

Well it's near, Valentine's Day is near and I can smell the love aroma comes around the world. Cupid is now ready with his bow and arrow. Everyone is very happy for this day especially for those who are in a relationship now. Valentine is a day that people who are in a relationship gave their love ones a present, valentine card, rose and chocolates, etc. I knew valentines was a traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other. Yeah I just repeated of what I've said... But it's fun.

To be honest, I never had a date on valentines before but some of my former and current classmates (You know who you are. hehehehe) told me that valentines is a date of enjoyment, my other classmate say that valentines needs flowers, chocolates, even cake. Wow, I never knew that this is their experience, but the other one told me that Valentines is, money?. I have no idea but based on my thoughts, valentines is all about love. A day that never breaks anybody's heart (as if you believe it). But it's still your idea if you know what I mean.

In conclusion: Valentines is a day of love. The End.

Your in the mood..ahh I mean, You're in the mood. shortcut words

Ok, this time I'm going to post a serious issue or not very serious issue. People today are fun in shortcuts. Admit it, we are fun doing shortcuts like going to find the shortest way to downtown, shortcut words like "brb"(Be right back) in our text message, in chats, I don't know in forums but I think I saw shortcut messages their. Yeah, the reason why I'm telling you this, is because some of us can't wrote and spoke it well, I'm not saying that I'm just telling this because he is correct the problem. No, I'm saying this is because of what I have experience and I admit it that I'm not a good speaker and writer but it does not mean that I bad at all. No, we can correct our mistakes. But the problem is, we are funning of doing shortcuts that is why we can't spoke and wrote it well.

Take for example, in text message saying "Ur here", that's ok when you are saving the 160 character for you to wrote. But base of my experience, somebody wrote a formal letter in 2nd paragraph saying "Da program of d' administrator is not...". I don't understand, why people wrote this shortcut message? Is it our new process of writing a formal letter? No is not. And you know what is the problem is? It's because, people are on a rush. That's the answer, admit it we are on a rush all the time. People can't wrote it well it's because they are doing on a last second. Why people at these days do their work on a last second? Because, PEOPLE ARE FUN IN SHORTCUTS. They haven't any time to check if they are correct, if they forgot something and etc.

I have this thing yesterday, somebody wrote "Your not him". instead of "You're", he wrote "Your". Ok back to English grammar, Your is a 2nd person while You're is a shortcut of "You are". So if we undo the shortcut, the sentence should be like this "You are not him" not "Your not him". It's so different.

Anyway, this is just a tip for those who are having problems with the sentence structure. It's not the end to quit speak to other people or write a letter. You can correct it and I know you can do it.

Soccer Blast!

I was experimenting with the setting in After Effects, and I found out on how to create a soccer blast or someone who kick the ball creates a massive fire ball, whatever. Any I played with the setting using the Trapcode Particular, it's a plug-in software in After Effects. I experiment with it using the annual video I made last Thursday at 3: 37pm. If you are wondering how did I got the exact time, it's easy, I memories it. No kidding. Anyway, I used the Animation Presents called Smoke, and I trace the focused direction of ball using the "Position XY" keyframe. Then, since I have a simple problem of finding the
"Tracker Control" Pane, I keyframe using the Position XY one by one. I know it will basically require a lot of time to do this but this is just a short effect. Here the final output I made. If you hear a loud voice saying "Ala" (Oh, My gosh), that's me.
