For how many years, Windows Vista introduced a feature that can make your USB as RAM. That featured is called Windows ReadyBoost. In my last blog entry, I wrote about how to improve boost performance in Windows Vista.
But wait. Maybe you will ask me is it possible that Windows XP can improved boost performance? Is there a ReadyBoost feature on it?
Well, my answer is Yes and No. Yes, I can improve boost performance in XP and No, there is no Windows ReadyBoost feature. It only features in Windows Vista and above. BUT, there is a software that CAN improve boost performance.
What is this?
eBoost is similar to Windows ReadyBoost but only a slight difference. It speeds up your PC and improves application responsiveness by using flash memory and free RAM as an extra layer of performance-boosting cache for your PC. Use up to four inexpensive flash devices to speed up your system. Add more speed to your PC without any hardware upgrade!
What does it feature?
There are lot of features similar to Windows ReadyBoost
-
Launch Your Favorite Applications Faster
The more often you use a particular application, the faster it’ll perform. eBoostr gathers statistics on what applications you use and how often, optimizing their performance by pre-caching their files and data and allowing faster access speed and reduced delays. -
Boot and Work Faster
eBoostr makes Windows load faster, significantly reducing the time your computer needs to boot. -
No Hardware Upgrades
No need to disassemble your PC in order to upgrade its performance. eBoostr gives your PC a noticeable performance boost without costly hardware upgrades. Just plug one or more flash memory drives, install eBoostr and say “Yes” to speed up your computer.
and a lot more!
Wow! Where can I download this?
You can download it for this site. http://www.eboostr.com/
The only disadvantage is you need to have money to buy that product, or you can just download a trial version or the beta version. You can download the beta version for free but it sets to expire on January 2009.
Wait, I have one last question. Is it compatible with Windows Vista?
Yes, it is but it’s still on beta.
